Secunda is a fairly newly established town in Mpumalanga province which came into being in the early 1980’s, after a merger of Sasol Two and Three. Sasol Two and Sasol Three, which are among the largest industrial refineries in the world produce diesel, synthetic fuel, petrochemicals and related fuels from the process of producing syngas. Other economic activities in Secunda include agriculture with a strong property development sector developing in the area.
