Die Pos/The Post

Waterberg is one of the 5 districts of Limpopo province in South Africa. With a population of approximately 745,758 thousand people, Sepedi language is the most commonly used medium of communication. In Waterberg, Die Pos or the Post is a community newspaper that the local people count on for unbiased current news and information.

Founded in October 1982 by Nicola and Eugene Diener, this newspaper has continued to live up to its mission and vision of keeping the community informed, educated and entertained by covering community events and allowing people to air their views and opinions. This close relationship with the local community has allowed the Die Pos to flourish with full community support. The newspaper’s editorial focus covers crime, sports, schools, health, entertainment, motoring, etc.

Die Pos currently runs with 6,000 copies which are distributed every Friday into areas such as  Bela-Bela, Modimolle, Mookgophong and Vaalwater, Alma, Leeupoort, Elim, Radium, Pienaarsrivier and Settlers.
