Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape Province, on the South African coast, is a region of diverse climates, landscapes and spectacular beauty – from the rough seas, rugged cliffs and the lush forests of the Wild Coast and Keiskamma Valley to the dry and desolate Great Karoo – the scenery is stunning beyond words. The spectacular coastline, replete with rocky coves, long stretches of unspoilt sandy beaches, towering cliffs and secluded lagoons, is the province’s main tourist attraction.
The province that has a population of around 6.5 million people and takes up 13.9% of South Africa’s land area is the country’s second-largest province after the Northern Cape.
