Starting life in March of 1965 as the Edenvale News, the paper was distributed by members of the Edenvale Fire Department. In 1980, Caxton CTP bought the publication and turned it into a weekly newspaper in July of 1983.

In April of 1986 a highly significant turning point arrived: the Edenvale News amalgamated with the Eastern Express and the title changed to the Bedfordview and Edenvale News, a name now familiar to everyone in the locale. The new title, however, stayed true to its roots and brought readers reliable, accurate and highly credible reporting. Today, with a proven track record, the Bedfordview and Edenvale News is a respected and trusted member of the community, and looks forward to many more decades as Bedfordview and Edenvale’s premier local newspaper.
